Justin is the founding pastor of Hope City Church. In 2014, Justin and Trish felt God leading them to launch a movement of hope in the city of Indianapolis. At the time, Justin was on staff at a large church in Nashville, TN, and he and Trisha were nationally sought after speakers after writing their first book, Beyond Ordinary: When a Good Marriage Just Isn’t Good Enough. But the burden for Indy and the desire to move home overcame their heart and they stepped out in faith to start Hope City Church. Justin continues to be a leading voice in the area of marital health and is co-founder of RefineUs Ministries. He is also on the board of Multiply Indiana, a church planting network with the mission of planting churches in the state of Indiana.
Trisha Davis loves people. She loves seeing people thrive. She loves seeing others win. It is that love that compels her to speak with honesty and transparency and call others to an extraordinary life. Trisha is co-author of her first book, Beyond Ordinary: When a Good Marriage Just Isn’t Good Enough, teacher and co-founder of RefineUs Ministries and Hope City Church. She has a passion to share the hope of Christ through the local church.Trisha and her husband Justin live in Indianapolis with their three boys, Micah, Elijah and Isaiah.
Passionate about creating content, products, and experiences that empower and inspire, Steven heads up our creative and production teams. Though he is an enthusiastic communicator and tech geek, his biggest joy comes from equipping and releasing others in their unique gifts and calling. He loves serving alongside his wife Amanda, who also leads worship and rocks pretty freaking hard on electric guitar. His favorite hobbies include reading, skiing, and restoring vintage arcade games and pinball machines. Steven and Amanda live in Fishers with their two daughters Stevie and Bren.
As the Hope City Kids Director, Erika works to lead the vision of our kids ministry on a weekly basis. She provides leadership and direction to her growing volunteer staff. Erika has a passion to provide a safe and loving environment for kids of all ages to experience the love of Jesus. When she’s not working on growing our kid’s ministry, Erika can be found teaching preschool at the Goddard School in Zionsville.
Passionate about coffee and creating a welcoming space, Teresa has the all-important job of ensuring Hope City guests are well caffeinated and cared for. She and her husband, Matt, love to travel and spend as much time on the water as possible. Teresa is the owner of a marketing consulting company.
Matt is passionate about people and creating a warm, welcoming space at Hope City that makes every single person walking through our doors feel welcome is his first priority leading the First Impressions team. Matt and his wife, Teresa, love to travel and spend as much time on the water as possible. Matt is also the co-founder of an Indy-based real estate technology company.
Brad’s focus will be to build partnerships with mission organizations that create opportunities for Hope City to have a global impact. He has a passion to see the Church take ownership of global issues through mobilizing and encouraging individuals to their full potential. Brad is a husband, father, and works as a corporate trainer for a retailer.
Brian Hunteman is our Operations Coordinator. He helps our Sunday morning environment with safety and system. From the parking lot to Hope City Kids, you Brian champions our security and operations team at Hope City. A die hard Indiana Hoosiers and Chicago Cubs fan, Brian is a firm believer in the mantra “good things come to those who wait”.
Ryan Stroud is one of our Connection Groups coordinators. He loves to coach and develop leaders who create groups where people can be honest, transparent, and experience life change. He believes that life is lived best in community and on mission with others. Ryan teaches third grade and enjoys time outdoors with his family.
Jeremy Zientek’s passion is helping others grow and be the best version of themselves. He is a firm believer that personal and spiritual growth occurs by opening your heart and being vulnerable in your relationships. He is charismatic leader that loves to be a part of ANY group and has never met a stranger. He is married to his wife Gretchen and is a proud parent of two daughters. As a former college athlete, Jeremy relates everything to sports. His motto for connection groups “it’s the preparation we do throughout the week during practice and at home that prepares for the game on the weekend.” “I truly believe the success of any church is not how many people are sitting in seats on Sunday, yet how many people are sitting around a circle during the week.” When Jeremy is not building authentic relationships at Hope City and growing our connection groups, he is building relationships with hospital leadership to save lives through organ, tissue, and eye donation for Indiana Donor Network.
Ali manages our social media accounts, keeping Hope City in the loop on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. She has an appreciation for aesthetics and a desire to tell the story of Hope City on social media. Ali is an elementary teacher and gluten-free foodie, married to her writer husband Adam.
Lori heads up our administrative team. She is in charge of keeping us organized and implementing the tools we use from an administration standpoint to help keep our various ministries running smoothly. She is passionate about facilitating others so that the each member of the Body can thrive in the roles God has given them. Lori spends her “spare” time chasing around two very cute little boys.
